This week, has been a really lovely week. A week to be thankful.
I have had 1 weeks holiday from work to be with the kids for half term and it has been really enjoyable. Enjoyable to spend some time with the kids, enjoyable to be in the house changing it, and to reflect.
We have done quite a lot.
Sunday we were with friends and had a lovely day.
Monday, the children completed a summer reading challenge through our local library, so they were presented with a medal on Monday for doing this, and we went to the presentation and also a talk with author Mark Wright who co wrote the Doctor Who book Who-ology. S got a signed book and her he is with Mark
Tuesday, the kids went to a local holiday group for a few hours, which meant I could help the hubby on getting on with some things for our cellar conversion. I had a bit of spare time so made mandarin blondes the recipe is here if you want it, they are really good
Wednesday, with friends we went to the National Media museum in Bradford we had a really great time. It was another Doctor Who themed event, but lots of other things as well.
Thursday, we went to Love Bread, a community bread project in Brighouse, they ran a halloween workshop for kids. They got to make different types of bread and had a lovely time. Back home more work in the cellar and we finally got lights installed in the new ceiling, it looks great, and we can now see a room emerging out of the dust. A post on the renovation will be coming as soon as the space is complete, we are really doing it is a shoestring budget. Halloween evening and the kids dressed up but we stayed in so they could hand sweets to trick or treaters
