This week has been the Easter half term holidays. I have taken the week off work. And, so far we have had lovely weather. I have spent a large amount of time this week in the garden and it has been lovely.
Just to sit, watch and enjoy.
The kids have been playing out with friends on the street, it has been really quiet.
Until recently we have had a cat, birds didn't often visit the garden because of him.
Last year I added a bird feeder and slowly birds have been visiting, I managed to photograph a few sparrows, we have had quite a lot of other birds this week as well.
We have also had quite a lot of bees and also butterflies, quite amazing for April and very enjoyable to watch.
Butterflies spotted whilst at the local park that have been flying over head and landing in the garden, they have just been too quick to capture
The geraniums getting ready to flower
We have had an acer in our garden for about 10 years, this week I noticed it has started flowering, something it has never done.
And a group of purple flowers coming into bloom
And that is our garden this week
