Every year as the school holidays loom, I ask the kids what they want to do over the holiday. This year have come up with amusing answers
Some really easy things like
Go to the park
Have a water fight
Create leaf and flower art - we saw this from Katie at Randomnest and were completely inspired
Make giant bubbles - to play like this
Go fruit picking
And some strange ones I am not sure if we can complete
Make an ant farm (anyone have any ideas to do this?!)
Build a mini rocket to the moon (erm..)
I think it is nice they have picked a lot of outdoor play activities, lets hope the weather stays nice!
Recently, I was shocked to read that recent reasarch by The National Trust reveals that the current generation of kids spend the least amount of time outside, and 1/4 of today's children spend only 30 minutes outdoors a day.
A short video by Hugh Dennis below, this shows 10 things that are so easy to complete in the garden or local park and get children outside.
Whatever you get up to over the next 6 weeks, enjoy!!
