About 4 months ago we dusted off our old centrifugal juicer and started using it daily again. I was feeling sluggish and tired, and wanted to see if it made a difference.
And it did.
Actually, a huge difference.
I had so much more energy.
The juicer was great, but the only issue I had with it is that you throw so much away after it has juiced the fruit or vegetable.
So, a month or so ago we bought a Nutribullet.
It seemed the most cost effective smoothie maker for our pocket. Others makes had more powerful machines, but just too expensive for us at the moment.
It took a few days to get use to the switch from a juicer to blending everything, and I absolutely love it.
It seems more versatile than a juicer as you can add extra ingredients for nutrition.
I buy fruit and then freeze it, things like pineapples are on offer at the supermarket at the moment, so I chop into chunks and freeze to then take out of the freezer and blend.
Here are the smoothies we have had for the last 7 days.
Each recipe is enough for 2 drinks
Spinach 2 handfuls Blueberries 1 handful Red grapes 1 handful Pineapple 4 chunks (frozen) Banana 1 full Greek yogurt 2 tablespoons Flax seeds 1 teaspoon Sesame Seeds 1 teaspoon Water
